Join Remote AID: The Main Emergency Work-From-Home Preparation Event From Remote Industry Experts
Attend Remote AID and find out how to prepare for mandatory remote work from remote experts from Microsoft, Basecamp, AppSumo, and others.
We are in an interesting time for the remote work industry. Many businesses and employees have been forced into creating a work from home policy, in an effort to protect the health and safety of their employees. While remote work trend is definitely here to stay in the long-term perspective, making this transition in a highly stressful and uncertain environment can be hurtful for many business owners.
Being put into a work situation which is unusual to both employer and employee can damage the productivity for everyone involved. Not only is the existing structure of an office environment taken away from everyone, working out how to communicate and be productive in a new space creates the need for solutions to be found which take up valuable mental bandwidth and time.
The reality is that not only are teams learning to work apart from each other, but also learning how to sensitively manage the fact that we are working through what is now a global pandemic.
It’s about understanding the broader local and national contexts in which your company operates, making sure that your business is adding real value and being empathic across the board for the new roles that everyone is taking in the business.
This means that all levels of an organisation need to be educated on the realities of remote work and what it means for the future. And it’s not all video calls, zero commute and working in your pyjamas. It’s about the reality of creating a workforce that is autonomous, independent and all working together towards a common goal.
This is exactly why, when we had to reschedule our conference about remote work, Running Remote, we knew we needed to use the years of experience we had working remotely and as a company that supported that industry already to help businesses navigate this new normal.
Unsurprisingly, our Speakers and Partners felt the same. They have joined us in creating Remote AID, a full day of incredibly powerful guidance and support for free and you can register here.
Renowned speakers and experts from around the world will be sharing their knowledge, donating their time to teach you the best way to work from home. David Heinemeier Hansson (co-founder & CTO of Basecamp), Lori McLeese (Global Head of HR at Automattic), Steli Efti (CEO and Co-founder of Close), and Taso Du Val (CEO of Toptal) are all offering coaching and support to businesses across the world at this event.
This is our third year running an event purely to help support businesses in managing distributed teams and getting access to some of the most cutting edge technology and minds in the industry.
We aim at keeping the ambience of a real in-person conference at Remote AID, that’s why we’ll also have networking sessions and a virtual Expo area. Making new connections, exchanging your experience of remote work, and learning about the new tools for your team has never been so important as now.
In fact, we know that many people come to Running Remote to discover what problems they may be able to solve as a business to help as well. It’s the only event of it’s kind in the world. Our aim is to support thousands of businesses with our event on 20th April and we hope to see as many people there as possible.
