Insightful revealed that this meeting overload was preventing employee focus time, which was causing projects to stall or fail. This led the company to institute “No Meeting Wednesday”, a policy that allows employees a full day of uninterrupted focus time.
Insightful also revealed that meetings were often unproductive and attended by employees who weren’t required. These insights led to the creation of the Village Gourmet’s “How to Run a Productive Meeting" guidelines.
Since implementing their new meeting policies with the help of Insightful, Village Gourmet’s productivity has increased to 90-95% across the company. And Wednesday is now consistently the highest productivity day.
